BAR SERVICE through Tropical Treats provides you with bartender staffing. The number of bartenders will depend on the number of guests expected. You are responsible for providing a table to serve from, mixers, supplies, and alcohol. If you would like us to provide the bar set up, we will do so. We have different setup packages. The Bar set-up package is $1.79 per person- This package includes: ice, cocktail napkins, trash can liners, plastic cups to drink from, bottled water, sodas, straws, a fruit set up for the bar, and tubs to keep the beverages cold in. The Ice set-up package is $.39 per person and is recommended if you would like us to bring the ice and tubs to ice everything down. We will help you determine the amount of alcohol and mixers needed for your event.

• Bar Service is $100.00 per bartender for a four-hour period and $25/hr for each additional hour. Bartenders will require one hour before your event to set up.
• The client is responsible for providing liquor for the bar service.

• Lime margarita mix $16.00 for around 100 servings.
• Strawberry, Peach, Hurricane, or Goombay Smash drink mix $16.00 for about 75 servings.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

 Tropical Treats differs from other bartender staffing services in many ways. First, we strive to help you plan and provide the best and right amount of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for your event. Some other staffing services will send you a bartender to just stand behind the bar and pour drinks. OUR BARTENDERS will go above and beyond to ensure your guests are served their favorite cocktails the way they want them.Another big difference between Tropical Treats  and some other staffing services is the skill level of each bartender. Some bartender staffing services have bartenders who are fresh out of bartender school or are college students looking for extra cash. Our bartenders all have real bartending experience in high volume restaurants. They have full time jobs and they work with us for supplemental income. This means that they are always in a good mood and are also happy to be working.

As professional bartenders, do we assume the responsibility of making sure that your guests do not have too much to drink?
As the host, you are ultimately responsible for your guests, even the ones who go away drunk. As professional bartenders in Austin or anywhere in Texas, it is our job to practice responsible alcohol awareness. We will refuse to serve anyone who in our judgment has had enough to drink. You will be notified throughout the course of the event of people whom we would suggest cutting off, so you may take proper action in finding them a safe ride home. We do not allow anyone other than  staff to serve drinks to guests, especially guests who have been cut off. It is our policy to stop serving 30 minutes before the end of an event or party or reception. It is against Tropical Treats  policy to serve alcohol to anyone under the legal drinking age of twenty-one.

Are your bartenders certified by T.A.B.C.?
All Tropical Treats  bartenders have been certified by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

What type of experience do your bartenders have?
All Tropical Treats  staff have several years of experience in the hotel/ restaurant industry/ wedding/ catering/ special events industry.

How much alcohol and which kind should I buy for my next party?
The answer to this question varies. This can include beer, wine, liquor, margarita machines, and keg beer. We will help you with your selections and quantities. Even if you don't need a bartender for your party, we will be glad to assist you in putting together a drink menu for your party.
